The Wind Energy America Board of Advisors includes executives in the energy industry who will add value to our development program with their insight, experience and relationships. Few wind developers have the advantages we possess from the knowledge, experience and relationships of the Wind Energy America Energy Board of Advisors.

Robert Sherwin

Managing Director, EAPC Wind Energy Services, LLC. President, Vermont Windpower International, LLC. Former President and CEO of Atlantic Orient Corporation (wind turbine manufacturer). Former President and Board Member of AWEA. Chairman of the AWEA Standards Coordinating Committee. AWEA Man of the Year – 1985. Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Standards Writing Organization. Held numerous teaching and research positions at several major universities. Presented at international wind energy conferences sponsored by the US, UN and international governments around the world.

James Franklin

Director of Utility Operations of Independence Power & Light, a municipal utility in Missouri. Former Executive Vice President of Missouri Public Service (Aquila). Mr. Franklin has an electrical engineering degree and has a top level understanding of the transmission systems in the U.S. and maintains high level contacts throughout the industry, many gained through his service on North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) boards.

Wesley R. Smith

Strategy consultant, Questar Corporation. Former policy director for The Heritage Foundation and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Founder and CEO, iWorlds Simulations. Former Vice President, Corporate and Business Development, Diveo Broadband Networks. Former Partner, Integra Partners.
